Mousepaw nodded slightly, he felt Trekite's dislike for Kage, and Kage's dislike for Trekite. He, personally, didn't think much of this she-cat either, she seemed to changeable, and, like his brother, didn't like arrogance. He smiled slyly to himself, good thing he wasn't arrogant! He ignored her last comment, thinking his voice might squeak, giving him his namesake, oh, how he HATED that squeak.
He twirled his auds backwards, keeping his eys on the she-cat in front of him. He finally removed his eyes from that particular position and looked at this newcomer, obviously she-cat. He grinned at what she said, laughing, "Most of the cats I meet say they're lurking instead of skulking, it's good to hear a different answer, although yours is quite a bit less... artistic." He loved being smarter than other cats, it always gave him the edge in wordplay.

Kage shrugged again, yawning slightly. Cats got so worked up nowadays, didn't they? Not to say he was really old himself, but probably moreso than many of the cats here. This new one seemed a bit calmer than Trekite. Thank goodness; he wasn't sure if he could put up with another fireball-type-rogue or loner. "So, THAT's what they call skulking these days?" he meowed, green eyes sparkling with unspoken laughter. "Oh, well. What do you call yourself?" Kage asked, kneading his paws into the ground again. Too many times had his claws been unsheathed and then retracted. None of these cats were threats. Waiting for the she-cat's response, he blinked down at his younger brother and muttered, "What do you think of all this company?" He valued Mousepaw's opinion, despite the age difference. OOC- Yucky post, gomen.

Lily couldn't help but smirk, almost mockingly, at the two toms. The younger one seemed to have an attitude about him and the older seemed far more mature. She was certain that the green-eyed black tom was far older than she was, but the blue-eyed one...He seemed to have a more childish air around him. At least, in Lily's mind, he did. Turning her own yellow optics upon Kage, she opened her mouth in reply to his question, "My name is my own and I don't give it out to common strangers. But..." Lily said calmly, with no trace of arrogance. Then, sighing, she hesitated. Lily didn't speak her name to others. If she ever was involved in any...say, crimes....she would rather have her name unknown. Trust was something she couldn't spare to give out to any cat and secrecy could be a decent enough defense. But now it looked as if she didn't have much of a choice. Rolling her eyes, more to herself than anyone else, she said,"My name is Lily. And yours?" She quickly directed the question back at the two toms, and the she-cat, for curiosity pricked her like a thorn.

Kage's tail twitched in something akin to satisfactiob: this cat already seemed to be far less impertinent than Trekite; less quick to snap as well. Good. He nodded, and then added lazily as if making small talk about the weather, "Keeping your name a secret is a waise policy," he paused here and blinked wide green eyes at Lily, "but only if you can afford to do so." Despite what people thought about street cats, there were such things as friends: why, look at him and Mousepaw. They were closer than friends, even, they were brothers. It was't completely black-and-white with rogues or loners. As far as Kage was concerned, no cat was purely 'evil', and no cat was a saint, either. Everyone had flaws. Kage nodded to Lily, saying, "It's a pleasure. My name's Kage...I'll let everyone else introduce themselves in turn." To tell the truth, Kage couldn't stand it when other cats' introduced him or Mousepaw like they were sidekicks or slugs or some other fiddly little things.

Mousepaw leaned over, answering Kage's first question. "Well, I find company quite... trying ," He mewed, trying his best sophisticated voice. Then dropping the accent, he finished, "Although it does make my day quite a bit more interesting." He flashed a grin at the black cat, revealing surprisingly bright teeth. He turned saphire orbs back to the she-cat, and smirked. He liked her, she was... interesting? Amusing? Mousepaw couldn't find the word. He shrugged his shoulders unconsciously. He turned his smirk into a charming, if somewhat menacing, grin. It was interesting to see how cats reacted when you acted like you were going to eat them. "My name's Mousepaw." He spoke slowly, his low voice quiet. He let the act slip though, this wasn't a cat he was trying to manipulate, or eat, for that matter. He smiled, still charming, though a bit less intimidating, and giggled slightly, plopping down onto strong haunches.

Lily returned the nod as Kage spoke his own name. He seemed friendly enough and didn't appear to pose her a threat. At least, not yet. But she figured that, if he chose to, Kage could easily flatten her with one blow from his black paw. She would play it safe, but she wouldn't, she didn't, make friends...it was just too risky. If and when she had to double-cross a cat, it was easier if she avoided growing close to them. But allies were good. Yes, allies were very good indeed. Lily's optics flickered from Kage to Mousepaw. She held back a snicker and instead it came out as a snort. He seemed so immature, with his annoying little grin. Lily shook off these thoughts as if she were shaking off a tick from her ear. No, instead she turned her thoughts to other things. Such as Mousepaw's name. A regular rogue or loner usually didn't have a clan name. Tilting her head to one side, the black she-cat stared at Mousepaw with interest, as if her eyes could burn through him and see beyond. "Were you ever a clan cat?" she asked curiosly, her claw digging into the ground.

The change was immediate. Mousepaw's eyes grew cold, no more than chips of ice, really. He bared his long canines, leaping forward, he landed directly in front of Lily. He stared her down fro seconds, the childish young cat gone. He figured if it came o a fight, he could win. This cat was probably only a few moons older than him, and he had been trained by the best. He flicked his gaze back to hers, it containing all the pain and hatred of his heritage. No, his past hadn't been bad, but oh, how he hated his family. His soft mother, his father... Mousepaw turned his eyes for a moment, then flashed them back, containing even more ferocity. "I don't believe that's your business, now is it?" Despite the rage and hatred, his voice was calm, like the ocean before a storm...

The only reaction Lily gave to the younger cat's ferocity and sudden change in attitude was a twitch of her whiskers and ears and a mocking smirk. She'd found a sore spot. She felt no fear as she stared into the ice cold eyes that stared back at her menacingly. She held back a snicker; although she wanted to continue on the topic, she didn't want to go too far too soon. It would come out easier over a more vast amount of time. Lily didn't want this to become a fight. In fact, that was the last thing she wanted. She probably had a good chance against the young tom, for she was older than her appearance allowed others to think. Nearing her twenty-sixth moon, Lily was just over two years old. And her father had taught her how to survive in the harsh, cruel world, giving her a chance before his own life was gone. She now was a living memory of him, taking all of his personality and spirit so that she could incorporate it in her own life. Out of the many things he taught her was to use wit instead of muscle. If she could, Lily would avoid a fight. At almost all costs. Lily shook her head to clear it of all her old, stinging memories and focus it on what was in front of her. She still wasn't done with Mousepaw yet. A little fun couldn't hurt...at least, not too badly. "Ooo, so you were,," she meowed, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Aww, did the poor little Clan kitty get scared and run away?"

Ooc- Heh, sorry, I'm at a relative's house and not logged in =P
Mousepaw hesitated only a second, enough to bare his fangs and hiss a menacing warning. He leapt forward, grasping the she-cat, and contraverting all his hate into those movements. He usually wasn't a cat that got mad easily, infact, he really didn't have a temper. But this arrogant fool had gone to far. He would visit Jesmain, even after living here for only about 4 moons she knew almost everyone's past. He would learn some small artifact, something painful, something horrible. The hard part would be getting to her. He'd just have to find some dope, prefurably some dope in Ravenclan, that would tell her. Maybe Kage wiould help... Mousepaw swung his paw towards the she-cat, fast as lightning, for she could have been older, but he was younger, swifter, and had a better reason to be fighting. He landed a blow on her cheek, slashing skin. He clawed her shoulder, as hard as he possibly could, but jumped back. He didn't want this to esculate into a full-on fight, only to teach the basterd a lesson. He panted slightly, his ebony lips seperated, but other than that was perfectly content. He smirked at the she-cat. "I dunno about the scared part, but the clan kitty sure did run away."

Lily screeched in defience as Mousepaw slashed his claws across her cheek. The blood flowed down like teardrops, yet the only thing that shone in her eyes was hatred. So maybe she had gone a bit too far, but it was Mousepaw's fault that he had anger management issues. She flattened her ears, hardly thinking about the pain in her shoulders or her face. Only the weak showed pain. And Lily wasn't weak. She wasn't going to turn and run away liked a scared little mousey, nor was she going to fight back, though. Her claws remained sheathed, and her tail lashed back and forth. When she opened her mouth to talk, though, she didn't speak directly at Mousepaw. Instead, she looked to Kage for answers. She had sensed a sort of...friendship...between the two black toms. Surely Kage would know something about Mousepaw's history. "If he did leave, why?" she asked, breathless. Her voice was intense, her eyes showing her thirst for this new knowledge. "Why leave the safety of the clan for the life a of a rogue? It seems like a stupid thing to do. Yet, it is fitting. A stupid thing to do coming from a stupid cat. What a surprise." Lily hissed back at Mousepaw, not menacingly...more like a 'ha ha' kind of hiss. If there was such a thing. But she had no intention of fighting. Slowly, before recieving an answer, she padded around to circle one of the many trees, still in plain view but able to flee upward if needed.

Trekite leaped back in surprise. She had found out about Mousepaw's past, which isnt a surprise Trekite smirke in her head, and a fight had started. Now normally, she would stop these kinds of things, but this one seemed like just a 'get off of my back or you'll pay' type of warning. Her striking green glare darted from Mousepaw to Lily, the newcomer, ans she realized that she forgot to tell this rouge her name. Trekite didn't mind, but Lily might. So, with her fur fluffed up to make her twice her size, Trekite slowly and cautiously meowed, "My name is Trekite. Also known as Wishwillow from my clan days." Unlike Mousepaw, Trekite wasn't embarrased or tempramental about people talking about her past. Whem she heard Lily's remark about stupid cats, she felt some of the rage build up in her. Trekite loved the clan life, but she was forced out of it. So why did she feel... mad? Did the smart remark hit close to home? Maybe too close? As her eyes closed, her wonders veered to thoughts of confusion. She strated to feel dizzy, and her eyes snapped open. They were now blazing with rage as she began to realize that she had every right to be angry, or hate, this cat for that. But, aside her rage, Trekite kept out of the fight. Slowly climbing up the nearest tree, not the one Kage was in, she peered down from the high branch, now clearly seeing the fight. Trekite's eyes were now just glinte with the rage that once filled those green pools, but now it was motly boredom and curiosity.[/blockqoute]

Ice-blue eyes watched them. Taking in every move. The black she-cat stepped out of the bushes to reveal herself. Midnight saw the cats and that brought her forward. She unsheathed her razor claws.
