xxDescription:
Scarface is every meaning of the word muscular--though still not very large. His build is an excellent muscular one, and, if it were not for his size, younger, weaker cats might cower at the sight of him. However, Scarface's biggest shape weakness is his size. He is small--bigger than your average apprentice, but smaller than your average warrior. Scarface is not thin usually, but he is not stocky either. On days when food is scarce, he is boney; on days when food is plentiful, he is very muscular. His tail is averagely sized, and so are his ears.Personality:
Despite what you're probably thinking, Scarface is not a dark brown tabby tom with long claws. His fur is a a dark grey, with even darker grey stripes. His stripes look so black you couldn't very well tell the difference between his stripes and black; but they are a dark grey. Oh, yes, he is a tabby, but not a dark brown one. He has a seemingly black stripe down his spine; he has a dark grey tail-tip as well. His nose is red, while the fur lining his eyes and his muzzle are both white. It is short, but not smooth. It isn't fluffy or messy or tangled--it's relatively neat--but it is not smooth. Scarface has a scar across his right eye; the explanation comes later. Other scratches and scars are hidden under his fur. Like most tabbies, Scarface has a little patch of fur shaped like an "M" on his head.
Scarface's eyes are yellow; enough said. With only the faintest hints of green, if you look close, his eyes are just plain yellow. As for shape, well, why does every single cat have to have a special eye shape? Okay, Scarface's eyes don't have the exact same shape as another cat's, but hey, it's pretty similar. His eyes are beyond icey and cold. Way beyond icey and cold. Take the most piercing, ruthless eyes you've ever seen. Replace them with something five times as piercing and ruthless. Congratulations, you've met Scarface's eyes. Next topic: do they sparkle? No. They do not sparkle. They glint. There is a difference. Sparkling is for kind, curious cats. Glinting is for mean, bloodthirsty cats like Scarface. ...Or the kind, curious type, but don't tell him that.
Scarface does not have a narrow face. If anything, he might have a slightly round face--the key words being "If anything". If nothing, he's normal. Another cat's overall impression could be 1 of 4 things: a.), "He looks evil and ruthless" (that cat's smart); b.), "He looks too small to squash a fly" (that cat's dumb); c.) "He looks like any other cat" (no comment); or d.) "His expression is unreadable" (again, no comment). In all, he looks furious, cold, ruthless, and bloodthirsty; he looks confusingly small; he looks pretty normal; and he looks like a book written in a language you don't understand.
He has normal-sized paws for a cat of his size--no bigger, no smaller. His ears are also average for his size. His legs--oi, didn't you forget to ask that? Yes, you did. His legs are long. If he was a regular cat (in terms of size), they would be a tad short, just a tad. They are not extremely long, but if you study them for a few moments, they begin to look a little long. Not too long, though. His tail is not feathery, though not thick and precise, either. Instead of a feathery wave when he swishes it, instead of an exact, sharp, movement (almost like tail-conducting) when he swishes it, he gets a flowing creek, or, in non-poetic words, a regular swishing tail. Now for Scarface's facial scar (hence the name). It is from the badger he fought moons ago; it is a scar right down right eye. He keeps his right eye usually half-closed as well. Claws long and usually unsheathed, Scarface is not the type of cat you'd invite to your party.
Scarface is a calm, collected cat. When he wants to be. Did I say needs? Or is told to? No, I said wants. Scarface does things that he feels like doing when and where he feels like doing it. Mainly, though, he is fierce, ruthless, angry, and merciless. Die, other Clans. That is one of the few thoughts that runs through his head when he is in his regular mood. Scarface is, quite surprisingly, optimistic. For a cat like himself. He always sees the bad side, but he always thinks he'll win. Or MoonClan'll win. He is concerned only about MoonClan and himself--a flaw of his, but he hasn't died from it quite yet.History:
Scarface is, no doubt, a super-duper bad guy. Clever, sly, wily, and proud are understatements. Plotting, sliding, commanding, and insanely proud are accurate words to describe Scarface. He is every definition of the word 'villain'--and quite obviously so. He does not hide his ruthlessness. He knows he is crazily fierce, and he's proud of it. Except for one thing. There is one thing that makes Scarface not a complete mastermind villian. It is the small bit of understanding, sympathy, curiosity, and wisdom in him. This makes him just a tad more fitting to be in the Clan. Scarface's only goals in life are to destroy and to prosper. He wants to live grandly in MoonClan, while the downfall of all other cats happens. No doubt, his goals match his own personality. He is cruel and cold-hearted. A different name for him might be Darkheart. Or Coldheart, or Scarredheart. Or Hugefury. Anyway, his goals are awful, and he himself is nearly an evil cat. Nearly. Scarface is, in short, a sterner, harsher Tigerclaw that isn't in exile yet.
Does Scarface excel in anything? Of course he does. He excels in being cold, ruthless, merciless, hateful, angry, furious, icey, and cruel. He excels in killing, murdering, slaughtering, and taking lives from the innocent. He excels in fighting and scavenging. He excels in lots of evil things, unheavenly things. He exiles in good things, though too. He has the power to stop and think, and the power to smile on rare occasions, and the power to feel sorry. Is Scarface proud of what he excels in? Of course he is. Why wouldn't he be? No, he isn't proud of just that--he's proud of himself. He is a proud cat, an arrogant cat. Though not vain, he is still extremely proud--and arrogant. Think of the proudest person you know. Scarface is five times as proud as them. Think of the most arrogant person you know. Scarface is five times as arrogant as them. Now you know Scarface. Congrats. Now he'll have to kill you.
Ticking Scarface off is very, very stupid. He has a very short, very big temper, and if you make him mad, you make him MAD. So don't tick him off. Another thing--nearly everything ticks him off. Forget a list as long as all of the warrior cats that have ever lived, their mothers, whether they believed in StarClan or not, and what ticked them off. This list is much, much longer. He can strike with a powerful, sharp claw--and will if you anger him. Some of the things that tick him off are bouncy young cats, other Clans, grumpy old cats, other Clans, non-StarClan-believers, other Clans, rudeness, and oh, did I mention other Clans?
When Scarface is angry, he attacks. He never bottles it up inside. He never lures cats into traps. He just attacks. Lashing out with a paw, claws unsheathed, Talon can be quite dangerous when he is in a bad mood. So, again, the moral of the story is: Don't. Anger. Scarface. He is not afraid to strike. Hardly ever afraid to strike. Oh, yes, he may look small, but he is a rash cat, and an unsafe one to be around at that. If you see Scarface start to get angry, run away. Far away. He'll chase you for just a little bit, then give up. Coming back is like saying to him, "Hi, Scarface, I decided I actually do want to die." Unless you have power. Power is what Scarface wants--he is ambitious as well as violent--, and he figures that to get it, you have to a.) be commanding and controlling, and not let any cat challenge your decisions; and b.) be just a tad more respectful of rank-holders than non-rank-holders. Just a tad. However, Scarface is not overly ambitious (he will sacrifice his ambitions for MoonClan); and again, he is not heartless.
Is Scarface a social cat, or is he a loner? That's a hard question, but finally an intelligent one. He's social when he feels like hanging out and chatting a lot, and when he feels like making friends. He's a loner when he feels like sulking in the dark a lot, and when he feels like being separated from everyone else. That's what Scarface is like. If he feels like doing something, he does it. When he doesn't feel like doing something, unless he realises the wisdom in doing it, he doesn't do it. So. You could call him either one. He'll be offended by either, though, so don't say it to his face. To him, "social" means "friendly", and he hates cats calling him "friendly"; and "a loner" means "a cat no one likes", and he hates cats calling him "a cat no one likes."
Scarface likes to talk. He loves to talk. Not talk like chat. Talk like shout, or snap, or discuss business, or plot. Real talking, MoonClan talking, not other-Clan cat talking. Quiet is the perfect opposite of Scarface. He is every meaning of the word 'loud.' He doesn't talk constantly, of course, but he does talk quite often. He doesn't just lurk in the background and remain quiet like shy, afraid cats do. He will speak up lots of times; he will challenge and defy, suggest and comment. He is a very participative type of cat, so if you like complete and total silence at a meeting or when you're speaking, don't let Scarface come. If you try to silence him, he might listen. He might.
Scarface is definitely not looking for love. Why would any cat love him, anyway? Besides, he is, quite frankly, unable to love. He is somewhat social, as mentioned before, but he will never consider a cat to be his 'friend'--and he will certainly never love one. (He does have friends, he just doesn't admit it.) If it counts, he loves one cat--himself. In a way. He is not vain, and not a Narcissus cat, but he is very arrogant and proud, and his only idol is himself. You could say he loved himself, if you really wanted to, but the reason would take some explaining, the word 'love' some defining.
Scarface is, above all other things, independent. He is proud and arrogant as well; so he never accepts help unless it is forced upon him. He likes to show how he can do things alone even though he is small; he likes to believe that, though he isn't invincible, he could manage by himself if he had to. A wonderful tactician and strategist, Scarface could well enough measure up to his beliefs. Well, maybe not fully, but mostly. He does not need others' help, he knows it, and he is proud of it. Even if he did need another cat's help, he would likely not admit it, for he wants others to think what he thinks about himself as well.
Scarface is by all means outgoing. He is a rather rash, spontaneous cat as well. He jumps into things first, or maybe second if someone beats him to it. He isn't afraid to go, either. He is not a follower. He is a leader. Though he isn't the leader of MoonClan, he can be a leader in his own little way. He likes being in charge, and despises cats who think that they should take control instead of him. Scarface hates taking orders, no matter how wise they may be. Outgoing as he is, he does stop to think about what he's doing before doing it. Occasionally, of course. All in all, Scarface is a ruthless, proud, arrogant, cruel cat with maybe a bit of kindness in him; a terrible companion, but a good cat to place in charge.
Scarface was born as a MoonClan cat. His parents were Viperfang, a grey tabby tom, and Marrowfur, a tabby she-cat that looked just like him. He was their only kit--and exasperatingly proud of it. He would boast to the other kits that he was the only kit of the queen Marrowfur and her mate, Viperfang. He would go on and on about it for hugely long periods of time until Marrowfur came to silence him or he got hungry. As a kit, Scarface--then Tabbykit--had a huge appetite, so when he got hungry, he stopped talking or whatever and demanded food from Marrowfur.Role Playing Example:
Tabbykit was made an apprentice like any other kit. He learned the ways of the Clan cats, how to hunt, how to fight, how to strategise--stuff like that. His mentor, a big bulky red tom called Cloudspots, was very impressed at how determined Tabbypaw was and how well he did at these things. Tabbypaw was very small, which helped him keep quiet when hunting and finding food, but he had razor-sharp, large claws which helped him fight with ease. Tabbypaw wanted to test Tabbypaw's skills--and so he sent Tabbypaw to an unfamiliar area. Hiding behind a large rock, Cloudspots watched his apprentice's eyes widen as an animal came out of the shadows.
It was a badger, trying to find shelter, and when it saw the tiny cat it decided that the MoonClan cat might attack the badger--or maybe it decided that the small cat wouldn't, so it would make a long-lasting meal. Whatever it thought, it attacked Tabbypaw. It had Tabbypaw pinned down in no time and raised a huge paw to strike a blow to Tabbypaw's head when Tabbypaw went limp. Quick thinking like that saved him that day. The badger stopped, but then tried to scratch Tabbypaw's eye. Success. Thinking it had won, the badger got off Tabbypaw and started to turn away, only to have a little cat with a bleeding eyelid and slice its throat out. Tabbypaw went back to Cloudspots in victory, but this made him what he is today; sterner and harsher than before. He blamed Cloudspots for his scar, and was happy when the tom died of old age (later on, of course).
The leader made Tabbypaw a warrior after the badger. The newly named Scarface was proud and satisfied, and was very glad that he could finally fight for MoonClan and be able to strike the other Clans dead, one by one. Well, maybe not, but he could still make an impression on them. However, disaster struck a moon after he became a warrior. Marrowfur had given birth to a litter of two--one stillborn, the other so sick and weak it died a day later. Furious, Viperfang killed Marrowfur in the night with only Scarface watching. Now, Scarface didn't hold kin very high in comparison to ferocity and loyalty (to MoonClan, of course), but he did hold pride very high. Pride is what drove him to try to murder Viperfang in cold blood for killing a fierce, ready MoonClan cat.
Scarface, unfortunately, did not accomplish this feat. Instead, all he did was tear Viperfang's ear. Viperfang, mad with rage through the weakness of Marrowfur and the ferocity of Scarface, attacked Scarface multiple times until Scarface was forced to run away. Viperfang told MoonClan that Scarface had killed Marrowfur and then tried to kill him, but Scarface came back. He struck his father dead at night when Viperfang was resting. This time, Scarface showed MoonClan the bits of dark grey tabby fur stuck in Viperfang's claws, as well as the light grey tabby fur on Marrowfur's body; something only Viperfang of the three cats had. The cats who respected him from the start respected him even more now that he had earned his reputation as a badger-killer and a mad-cat-killer, and some cats who had not respected him at first joined in the respecting. Others did not.
Scarface settled into his place among the other warrior happier than he had the first time. He got a misty look in his eyes when Marrowfur was mentioned, and a smug look in his eyes when Viperfang was mentioned. He has yet to receive an apprentice, but that time will probably come soon. His family are dead, but kin is not held high to him; and his pride is still alive. Some cats, those who hold his deed high in respect, call him Scarface the Kinless on occasion; others just plain ol' Scarface, the ruthless, tabby 22-moon-old warrior if MoonClan, one whose claws look as if they could've created the scar on his face.
